One of the youngest distilleries on Scottish soil, it was “built” in 1966. To be precise it was converted from a cotton mill in 1785. Given its young life and history there is not much to say, bought in 1972 by Invergordon Distillers in 1982. was suspended before being reopened in 1990 by Burn Stewart & CO. Its malts are mainly used in the Scottish Leader blend. Fun Fact: In 2006, a bottle of 30YO was released containing only pre-1982 malts. The first malts were called “Old Bannockburn”.
