Founded by William Williams & Sons, a family of blenders, in 1898. In 1926 it was bought by DLC, a company that would later become Diageo over the years. Completely renovated in 1962, ten years later a new distillery was built alongside and the old Glendullan closed in 1985. During these years, the two productions were merged and sold as single malt. Mainly used for blends, it was only in 2007 that official bottlings were seen again, although under the name of “The Singleton”: a name also used by Dufftown, Glen Ord and at the end of the twentieth century by Auchroisk. Fun fact: the “Old Parr” blend is mainly made of this malt
