Built in 1965/66 by Tamnavulin-Glenlivet Distillery Co Ltd. (part of Invergordon Distillers Ltd) to meet the demand for malts for blenders. In 1993 Whyte & Mackay bought the Invergordon Distillers Ltd group and closed the distillery two years later. It reopened in 2007 when United Spirts bought Whyte & Mackay and since 2011 has been in full swing. Curiosity: Its name means “Mill on the hill”
