Dailuaine is a quintessential well hidden gem in the Speyside hills. Founded 170 years ago, it has always worked to produce whiskey for blended blends. The reality is that with its richly malty and fruity style, supported by a chewy and subtly waxy body, Dailuaine knows how to be a distillery of great charm. This 11-year-old single cask, whose oak had contained Bourbon, has an elegant nose between cedar, yellow plum and waxed wood, as well as a mouthwatering side of pandoro, honey and shortbread biscuits. On the palate a note of grapefruit is added, a savory flash of peanuts, coconut and a large basket of yellow apples.
