“Last Ward” is a vintage produced on the island of Barbados, in the Eastern Caribbean archipelago, distilled at Mount Gay; its name is a tribute to the experience and creativity of Frank Ward, the last member of the family that owned Mount Gay for over a century before the acquisition by Remy Cointreau. It comes from an accurate triple distillation process and, once made, matures for 10 years in barrels that previously housed Bourbon, benefiting from the effects of the tropical climate of this place. A rum that seduces with its scent and a warm and enveloping flavor, faithful to the style of the best rums of Barbados. Bottled at 59%.
On the eye with its amber , rather intense and bright. Intoxicating and fine on the nose, it is initially expressed with fruity notes of cherry, ripe banana and citrus hints. Bitter cocoa and sweet spices elegantly close a picture of beautiful aromatic cleanliness. The taste gives a warm, enveloping sip, which carries the sensations perceived on the nose, stretching towards a harmonious and persistent finish.
