A fine example of Royal Lochnagar, kind on the nose but full of character in the mouth. Easy to enjoy
Distillation year: 2004
Casks: AOand EOrefill casks
Strength: 57.5% ABV
Place of origin: Crathie
Nose: very soft and round nose. Twirls with aromas thin. The top notes are slightly fruity, suggesting orange peel and green apple. They are enclosed in a hint of puff pastry, all placed on a base of dew e slightly woody. Adding a splash of water yes adds to the fruit, white grapes, and raises the spiciness
Palate: A creamy texture rolls smoothly through the palate, the lively taste of barley and sweet and intense sugar fin from the beginning with a fruitful acidity in the middle of the palate, and one oak dryness. A little water makes the texture creamy and even sweeter sweetness, while an appetizing spicy heat develops on the medium body.
Final: Welcoming and warming, like the first rays of the sun afterwards a long winter, with a persistent white pepper in the aftertaste slightly spicy wood.
